Why did you join AAOS?

For education and for advocacy.

Do you currently volunteer with a committee? If yes, which one(s)?

Yes, Peds education committee.

How do you define success?

Success is personal. For me, success goes beyond money and power because neither is long-lasting. Success is sticking to your core values.  Success it a personal journey. It comes through wisdom, service, and personal wellbeing and is achieved when you feel that you have achieved "enough".

Who is your biggest inspiration and why?

My inspiration comes from my family. For generations, my family has sought through education success. I am a third-generation MD. I stood on their backs to get here.

How has the AAOS helped you throughout your career?

I have used the AAOS for mostly educational resources. I have recently been more involved in service through the organization. This, along with the meetings are a great central point to reconnect and engage with others within the orthopaedic community that may not be within your subspecialty.

What advice would you give to new members of AAOS?

Be involved in service early.

Tell us a fun fact about yourself that not many people know?

I am terrified of heights and love horror movies.
