If you were mentoring a new member, what important advice would you give them as they progress in their career?
Stay- up-to-date using meetings, seminars, and publications. This is vital in the rapidly changing world of orthopaedics today.
What aspect of retirement surprised you the most?
How much I enjoyed it. I miss practice, but this is fantastic.
What hobbies do you enjoy in your spare time?
Family, tennis, gym, reading, and having a no-responsibility role with the University of Alabama football team where I was a team physician for 35 years.
Tell us a fun fact about yourself that not many people may know?
I attended Seminary after retirement.
