Post Meeting FAQs

Registration / CMEs

You can access your CMEs by going to www.aaos.org/register. Your badge number and email address is required for login. If you do not have your badge, you may request your badge number by emailing: meeting@aaos.org 

The number of CME's you receive at the Annual Meeting is based on your check-in date. For the 2017 Annual Meeting, the following have been determined:

Tuesday, March 14 35.5
Wednesday, March 15 25.5
Thursday, March 16 16.5
Friday, March 17 7.5


AAOS transcripts will be updated 4-6 weeks after the Annual Meeting. Once updated, you will be able to claim your CMEs by going to: www.aaos.org/transcript.
 

Individualized course certificates are not issued, however a Certificate of Attendance may be obtained by going to: www.aaos.org/register. The Certificate of Attendance is based on your Annual Meeting check-in date, not the courses you attended.

The deadline for full refunds was: 2/2/2017. To request a refund due to medical issues, death in the family, or travel delays/cancellations, contact us by mail or email to communicate your request.  You will need to mail your badge and tickets with an explanation in writing and we will review and respond via email if a refund can be issued.

Education

You can access your ICL handouts at: www.aaos.org/register. Your badge number and email address is required for login. If you do not have your badge, you may request your badge number by emailing: meeting@aaos.org.

If you would like to access symposia handouts or abstracts, please go to:  www.aaos.org/proceedings

Individual handouts for ICLs are not available for purchase post-meeting.  However, if you would like to purchase a flash drive containing handouts for nearly 200 Instructional Courses from the 2017 Annual Meeting click here.  

You can purchase audio podcasts from the meeting by going to: www.aaos.org/ampodcasts. Single course or entire meeting selections are available.

Housing & 2018 Annual Meeting

Deposits are returned to the AAOS Housing Bureau in one lump sum after the meeting. The funds must be reconciled before they can be disbursed, therefore refunds would be issued 10-21 business days after the meeting. If you cancelled your reservation within the hotel's cancellation policy and are still awaiting a refund, contact the AAOS Housing Bureau at:

Early Housing for New Orleans, Louisiana is open to Members who attended the 2017 Annual Meeting until April 14, 2017.
Housing for AAOS Members opens on Tuesday, April 18, 2017.
Non-Member Housing will open in October.

Information packets will be mailed automatically to all AAOS Members when they are available in the Fall. Other medical attendees may request a packet be mailed to them at: www.aaos.org/amrequest.

Keep your eyes open! Checking our website as we transition from our past 2017 meeting to the next 2018 meeting is a great idea. We are continually making changes with updates and new information as it becomes available. All information in the mailed packets will also be available online.

Exhibiting in 2018

Companies that have exhibited or completed the Company Review Process in the last three years will have the Exhibit Prospectus an an Application for Exhibit Space sent to them in mid-June. The Prospectus will also be available online at: www.aaos.org/exhibitors.  Until then, the 2017 Exhibit Prospectus will remain online.

Eligible companies will receive access to the online Application for Exhibit Space in mid-June, along with the Exhibit Prospectus. Companies that have not previously exhibited at AAOS Annual Meetings must complete the Company Review Process before being eligible to apply for exhibit space.

Exhibitors must book hotel rooms through AAOS' official housing vendor, Wyndham Jade. Reservations for exhibitors will not be available until October.
