Airport

Orlando International Airport (MCO) is located 9 miles southeast of downtown Orlando, at the junction of State Road 436 (SR 436 - Semoran Boulevard) and State Road 528 (SR 528 - Bee Line/Beach Line Expressway - Toll Road). Driving Directions

From the Orlando International Airport (EAST) 25 minutes

Go west on SR 528 to exit 1 (International Drive)
Go north (right) approximately one mile to Convention Center
The West Building parking lot can be accessed by turning left at Convention Way (south entrance), Exhibit Drive (north entrance) or following Westwood Boulevard/West Entrance

Hotel Shuttle Schedule

Shuttle bus service between the Orange County Convention Center (OCCC) and “official” AAOS hotels begins Tuesday, March 1.   Service hours are 6:30am to 10:00am and 2:00pm to 6:30pm, ending Saturday, March 5 at 6:00pm.  Hotels without service (Hyatt Regency Orlando, Rosen Centre, Rosen Plaza) are within walking distance to the OCCC.  Wheel Chair accessible transportation can be arranged by calling (407) 346-8927 (one-hour advance notice required). 

Parking

At the Convention Center parking is abundant, in hotel lots or parking garages.The fee for parking at the OCCC is $15.00 per car per entry and $25.00 for oversized vehicles, i.e. buses, per entry. Fees at hotels and parking garages vary.

Public Transportation

Lynx is Orlando's public bus network, which makes scheduled stops at area hotels and attractions. The buses depart from the airport every 30 minutes for the city center and International Drive. Please visit the web site at http://www.golynx.com.

Rental Car

Reservations can be made via the AAOS registration website, Wyndham Jade, your travel agent, or directly with rental car companies. AAOS has negotiated special rates for rental cars during the meeting. Call the number below and mention the discount code listed.

I-RIDE Trolley
Taking an I-RIDE Trolley is one of the most convenient and least expensive ways to explore the International Drive Resort Area. Trolley stops are conveniently located in front of the West and North/South Buildings on I-Drive. Trolley passes are available for purchase at the OCCC Guest Services Desk. Taxi Service  
Taxicabs at MCO are located in Terminal A, on the Ground Transportation Level (Level) 1, at Commercial Lane parking spaces: A5-A8 and A22-A25 and Located in Terminal B, on the Ground Transportation Level (Level) 1, at Commercial Lane parking spaces: B5-B8 and B30-B34. Taxis may carry up to 9 passengers, and charge the same rate regardless of the number of passengers. Average cost from the airport to International drive runs $30-$50. All taxicabs picking up at the Airport are regulated by the City of Orlando's Vehicle-for-Hire ordinance which requires fares to be determined by a taximeter. Flat rate fees are not authorized. Therefore metered rate may vary from the approximate rates quoted above
