John Froelich, MD

I will be serving as a Washington Health Policy Fellow from 2011-2012, during my PGY-5 year of residency at Southern Illinois University and into my hand fellowship at the Mayo Clinic. I am fortunate to have just recently been selected as one of the 2011-2012 AAOS Washington Health Policy Fellows. In the coming year, I hope to work on projects aimed at evaluating patient access to orthopaedic care as well as continuing the important work of previous Health Policy Fellows in updating Academy members on pertinent federal health policy issues. Advocacy is an avenue to serve patients beyond the walls of the clinic or operating room, and as physicians we have a unique opportunity to serve our patients in both realms. If you have an interest in becoming more involved at a local or federal level please feel free to contact myself or the AAOS.
