At the Annual Meeting a resident can attend Symposia, Instructional Course Lectures, Presidential addresses and much more. This allows one to get a flavor of all of the different facets of the Academy. - Volunteer As An Academy Liaison
- Read the Office of Government Relations Advocacy NOW update to keep abreast of activities on Capitol Hill
- Read the current issue of AAOS Now
- Read about AAOS’ lobbying activities during the National Orthopaedic Leadership Conference (NOLC) and Research Capitol Hill Days
- Submit your own story of advocacy to dc@aaos.org or submit your name to get involved
There are many ways to get involved after you have finished your residency
- Serve on an AAOS Committee
- Become a member of the AAOS
- Any graduate of an American orthopaedic residency can be considered for membership in the AAOS.
- Serve on the Board of Councilors (BOC) or Board of Specialty Societies (BOS)
- Participate in the Leadership Fellows Program (LFP)
