Fundraiser

We are seeking an experienced fundraiser for a two-year temporary assignment to create and direct a comprehensive $10 million capital campaign. The fundraiser will manage the fundraising operations and logistics. Specific duties include:

• Staffing the Campaign Steering Committee made up of orthopaedic surgeons who will lead the volunteer end of the campaign.
• Developing a tracking mechanism for solicitations through the fundraising module of the association management system, Personify.
• Responding quickly and efficiently to all campaign inquiries.
• Drafting all campaign correspondence.

• Traveling to orthopaedists offices and homes, alone or with campaign leaders, to cultivate and solicit interest in the campaign.

• Working with a part-time administrative staff member located in our Rosemont, Illinois office.

Requirements:

This full-time, senior level professional must have at 8-10 years experience with fundraising; experience with physicians is strongly desired as this person will interact with surgeons.

Demonstrated ability to develop collaborative relationships and facilitate teamwork.

Strong leadership qualities as evidenced by the ability to conceptualize, initiate, manage and develop collaborative relationships with key partners.

Experience with a capital campaign is an absolute must, experience with recognition/naming programs would be helpful.

The fundraiser must possess excellent writing and communication skills, have a professional appearance, and be a self starter with excellent attention to detail.

Certified Fund Raising Executive status preferred, but not required.
