Specialty Societies Services

Value in Working Together

Societies value the professional management of the department staff, which enables the society to move forward with the society goals while the individual members are free to spend their energy on caring for patients and conducting research. Societies value the expertise in the department that results from managing seventeen societies with a variety of projects and various levels of sophistication.

Societies value the advantage and the opportunities that their presence under the AAOS roof brings. Department staff members are able to capitalize on the expertise of AAOS staff in areas such as computer technology, international mailings, and survey design and analysis. In addition, some department staff members have a unique opportunity to coordinate initiatives with their society and the Academy.
