AAOS members' unparalleled response to the 2010 Haiti earthquake prompted the development of comprehensive disaster preparedness information. Together the Orthopaedic Trauma Association (OTA) and the Society of Military Orthopaedic Surgeons (SOMOS), has collected disaster preparedness resources to enable an effective and efficient response when a disaster strikes and the Orthopedic community is called upon to help.
