Airport Shuttle
The most economical way to get to your hotel is on an airport shuttle. Shuttle service is available from the airport to downtown hotels for $20.00 (per person, one-way) or $38.00 (per person, round-trip). Three bags per person. Advance reservations are required 48 hours prior to travel for all ADA accessible transfers. Ticket booths are located on the lower level in the baggage claim area. Hotel Shuttle
Hotel shuttles will run between the hotels and the Morial Convention Center starting Tuesday, March 9 at 12:00 PM through Saturday, March 13 at 6:00 PM. Hotels without shuttle service are designated on the housing list.
Parking
Many parking lots have reduced rates ("Early Bird Specials") if you arrive before 9:00pm. Downtown businesses and department stores offer free or discounted parking with minimum purchases. Metered Parking is also available from 8:00am to 6:00pm. You cannot park at bagged meters, during X hours, or on X days...it's varies on each block and each day...so read the posted signs very carefully! Public Transportation
New Orleans is a city remarkably compact and easy to navigate. Many of the city’s attractions, accommodations and event venues are within walking distance of each other. It only costs $1.25 to take an RTA bus . . . or one of the city’s famed streetcars, which travel the Riverfront and Canal Street. The RTA Rideline, (504)248-3900, is available weekdays 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. for live assistance with routes and schedules or online at rideline@norta.com. Rental Cars
AAOS has negotiated special rates for rental cars during the meeting. Car reservations can be made via the AAOS registration web-site, Wyndham Jade, your travel agent or direct with the rental car companies. Call the numbers limited below and mention the discount code listed.

Taxi Service
A cab ride costs $28.00 from the airport to the Central Business District (CBD) for one or two persons and $12.00 (per passenger) for three or more passengers. Pick-up is on the lower level, outside the baggage claim area. There may be an additional charge for extra baggage. A taxi ride within the city will cost you $1.20 mile with a $2.50 drop charge and $1.00 charge for each additional passenger. Trips to the westbank are an additional $2.00 plus meter.
