McCarran International Airport is the principal commercial airport serving Las Vegas. It is conveniently located just one mile from Las Vegas Boulevard and 3.5 miles from the Las Vegas Convention Center. The most economical way to get to your hotel is on an airport shuttle. Shuttle service is available from Las Vegas McCarran Airport (LAS) airport to downtown hotels starting at $11.00 (per person, one-way). ADA accessible requests are required 48 hours prior to travel. Ticket booths are located in Terminal 1 and Terminal 3 at the airport. An Airport Shuttle reservation counter will also be available onsite at the Venetian/Sands Expo during the meeting. From the East:
Take I-15 S/Las Vegas to Exit 39 for Spring Mountain Rd. Keep left at the fork, follow signs for Spring Mountain Rd. E and merge onto Spring Mountain Rd. Spring Mountain Rd. becomes Sands Ave. Continue onto Sands Ave. The Sands Expo and Convention Center is on your right, at 201 Sands Ave.
From the West:
Take I-15 N/Ontario towards Barstow/Las Vegas. Continue on I-15 N to exit 39 onto Spring Mountain Rd. Spring Mountain Rd. becomes Sands Ave. Continue onto Sands Avenue. The Sands Expo and Convention Center is on your right, at 201 Sands Ave.
Free parking is abundant on the Strip and downtown Las Vegas in one of the hotel lots or parking garages. There is no street parking on the Strip, but there are street meters in Downtown Las Vegas. These meters are $1 per hour and have 2-4 hour time limits. Meters are normally enforced daily from 8am-8pm. Call Parking Enforcement Unit at 702-229-6431 if you have a question about parking in Las Vegas.
The Deuce on the Strip runs 24-hours/day, every day, and stops at most hotels and casinos along the Strip. From 7 a.m. to 2 a.m., the Deuce is scheduled to arrive about every 15 minutes. From 2 a.m. to 7 a.m., the Deuce is scheduled to arrive about every 20 minutes. The Strip & Downtown Express (SDX) runs from 9 a.m. to midnight, every day, and stops at limited hotels and casinos. From 9 a.m. to midnight, the SDX is scheduled to arrive about every 15 minutes. For other route hours, schedules and frequencies, visit the RTC website. Fares for 2-hour pass is $6 and 24-hour passes is $8. These are available at all Ticket Vending Machines (TVMs) along the Strip and on-board the Deuce and Strip & Downtown Express (SDX). The 3-day pass ($20) is only available on Deuce vehicles, online in advance, or at select TVMs.
Las Vegas Monorail
The Monorail travels from Sahara Ave to the MGM Grand 7 days per week from 7 a.m. - 12 a.m; Monday, Tuesday - Thursday 7 a.m. - 2 a.m. and 7 a.m. - 3 a.m. Friday-Sunday. Taxicabs are available on the east side of baggage claim, outside door exits 1-4. At Terminal 3, taxis are conveniently located outside on Level Zero. Airport personnel are available on the taxi curb to assist passengers. There is a $2.00 charge on all fares originating at the airport. The maximum number of passengers allowed in any taxi is five (5), including infants and children. Please Note: Some taxis will not accept credit card payments, customers should notify the attendants if they plan to use a credit card for payment. Meters start at $3.30, and increase by $2.60 per mile.
Las Vegas is a subtropical, hot desert climate, located in the Mojave Desert. The city enjoys abundant sunshine year-round; it averages 320 days of sunshine per year and averages less than 5 inches of precipitation annually. This warm, dry climate is attractive for meetings throughout the year. March temperatures range from average low of 49ﾟ F to an average high of 71ﾟ F. Light rain is the most severe precipitation; averaging 0.42 inches of rain in the month of March.
