Politico Pulse: Orthopaedic Surgeons Fly-in
The American Association of Orthopaedic Surgeons is holding a fly-in today to lobby Capitol Hill against the year-end Sustainable Growth Rate and sequestration cuts. Another key issue for AAOS is preserving the in-office ancillary services exception in the Stark law. The exemption allows doctors to provide advanced imaging in their offices, but it's likely to be on the chopping block in the fiscal cliff talks.
