International Affiliate Membership has been established for orthopaedic surgeons who are practicing outside of the United States. We invite you to join orthopaedic colleagues from around the world in the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. (Apply below).

The annual membership fee for International Affiliate Membership is $350. Benefits provided to International Members have a combined value of over $1,000 and include:

Requirements

• International Affiliate Membership is available to all Orthopaedic Surgeons practicing outside of the United States.
• Applicants must be a current member of the national orthopaedic association of the country they practice medicine in. This must be indicated on the membership application.
• Membership is valid for one year and must be renewed annually. The membership year begins on April 1^st and ends on March 31^st of the next year.
• Applications must be accompanied by payment of the first year annual dues. Annual dues are $350 (US). Payment must be made by credit card (MasterCard, Visa or American Express). The completed application and payment must be received by September 1^st. Applications received after September 1^st will be applied to the next membership cycle that begins on April 1^st of the following year.

How to Apply

Applications for the class of 2008 are now being accepted.

• Online: A credit card is required for payment.
• By mail or fax: Download the application form in Microsoft Word format.
• Former members: To rejoin the membership, you can either use the online option or the downloadable form.
  Please note that you will need your AAOS password if you choose to rejoin using the online option. If you do not know your password, please email Jose Oyola at oyola@aaos.org or call 1-847-384-4302.
