OREF-AOA pain management report available online

A highlights report of the Orthopaedic Research and Education Foundation/American Orthopaedic Association (OREF/AOA) Pain Management Initiative has been posted to the organizations’ Web sites (www.oref.org or www.aoassn.org). Based on collaboration between OREF and AOA and made possible through an educational grant provided by Pfizer Inc., the Pain Management Initiative surveyed orthopaedic surgeons to learn which pain management therapies, technologies, and techniques they administered to patients after total joint replacement, sports medicine, and spine-related surgery.

A complete results report is being reviewed for publication. The printed report was distributed to the orthopaedic community with the December 2007 issue of OREF’s quarterly newsletter, Impact. The printed report will also be separately mailed to AOA members. To view or download the highlights report or to obtain more information and updates on publication of the full report, visit www.oref.org or www.aoassn.org
