2014–2015 AAHKS Health Policy Fellowship
The American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons (AAHKS) is seeking applications for its 2014–2015 Health Policy Fellowship. The goal of the AAHKS Health Policy Fellowship is to provide the fellow with the requisite exposure, training, and skills to support health policy advocacy efforts of AAHKS. The 2-year program will provide exposure to the various legislative and regulatory bodies that affect members’ ability to render healthcare services to their patients. AOFAS Resident Scholarship Program
The AOFAS Resident Scholarship Program, open to PGY2 and PGY3 residents, enables orthopaedic residents to attend the 2013 AOFAS annual meeting, July 17–20, in Hollywood, Fla. Scholarship recipients will also meet with dedicated mentors and other foot and ankle experts. Applications are due March 1, 2013. ORS Clinical Research Forum
The 2013 Orthopaedic Research Society (ORS) Clinical Research Forum, “The Art and Science of Designing and Completing Clinical Trials in Orthopaedics,” will be held Jan. 27 during the ORS Annual Meeting in San Antonio. OTA Abstract Submission Deadline
Feb. 5 is the deadline to submit abstracts for the 2013 Orthopaedic Trauma Association (OTA) annual meeting, Oct. 9–12, in Phoenix. For more information, visit www.ota.org

OTA Resident Courses
The OTA will hold its 9th annual Advanced Trauma Techniques Course for residents, Feb. 22–23, 2013, in Los Angeles. The modular-format course is designed for advanced level orthopaedic residents. Topics include pelvis, acetabulum and hip, knee, foot and ankle, elbow and shoulder/wrist, diaphyseal, and complications/challenges.

The OTA Comprehensive Fracture Course for junior residents will be held April 10–13, 2013, in Lombard, Ill. The course will be presented in six separate small-group modules, with 20 residents and up to five faculty per module. Topics include the fundamental principles of care for diaphyseal, articular, foot and ankle, geriatric, pediatric, and pelvis/polytrauma fractures. The modules will include a rapid-fire series of mini-lectures, case-based discussions, video demonstrations of techniques, and hands-on skill lab exercises. PGY-2 through PGY-4 residents are encouraged to attend. Registration and housing scholarships are available for both courses. 2013 RJOS annual meeting
The 2013 Ruth Jackson Orthopaedic Society (RJOS) annual meeting will be held at the Palmer House Hilton the evening of March 19, 2013, in conjunction with the AAOS Annual Meeting in Chicago.
