ABJS seeks research papers
The Association of Bone and Joint Surgeons (ABJS), in conjunction with Clinical Orthopaedics and Related Research (CORR), is seeking papers for the Nicolas Andry Award and for the Marshall R. Urist Young Investigator Award. Submission for one award precludes simultaneous submission for the other award. Winning papers must be presented at the 2013 ABJS annual meeting in Istanbul, Turkey.

The $25,000 Nicolas Andry Award is open to experienced orthopaedic investigators, including surgeons doing clinically relevant basic or patient-oriented research. The submission should review a body of work conducted and published over an extended period of time that deals with the musculoskeletal system and has significantly contributed to orthopaedic knowledge and practice. The work may be ongoing. Bodies of work that in substance have received previous awards are not eligible.

The $5,000 Marshall R. Urist Young Investigator Award is open to orthopaedic surgeon investigators younger than age 40, or with fewer than 7 years posttraining (including fellowships) at the time of application. Submitted work must deal with clinically relevant laboratory or clinical research related to the musculoskeletal system. This research may not have won an award or have been previously published as a full paper.

Papers for both awards must be submitted electronically via the CORR website at www.editorialmanager.com/corr and adhere to the CORR guidelines for Survey Articles. Submissions will be accepted from Aug. 1–Oct. 1, 2012. For more information, email abjs@aaos.org
