AAOS, AAOE Win Gold Circle Awards
Recognized for excellence in communications
The AAOS and American Association of Orthopaedic Executives (AAOE) each received 2012 Gold Circle Awards from the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) for their excellence in association and nonprofit communications.
The AAOS received the Integrated (Multi-Vehicle) Communications Campaign award for its Decide to Drive: A Public Service Awareness Campaign. This award recognizes an outstanding association/nonprofit communications program launched in 2011 that consists of a minimum of three communication vehicles such as digital, print, social media, website, film, or radio.
The AAOE received the Newsletter (Print/PDF & Digital Interactive) award for its March 2011 enewsletter. This award recognizes an outstanding print or electronic periodical targeted to an association’s or nonprofit’s membership.
The ASAE Gold Circle Awards recognize outstanding communications in nine categories, including annual reports, feature articles, magazines, newsletters, integrated communications campaigns, and innovative communications. Entrants are judged against their peers, based on the association’s annual budget.
