Clear view of a Stark landscape
As the financial dynamics of the delivery of care change, physicians must continually reassess the business elements associated with that delivery of care. Ambulatory surgery centers, specialty hospitals, and diagnostic imaging centers are all venues where the unwary orthopaedic surgeon can run afoul of Stark restrictions.
“Stark” the Law, the Exceptions and How to Make it Work for Your Practice Without Going “Stark” Raving Mad will provide the orthopaedic surgeon with the basics of Stark regulations as well as practical and specific guidelines for their practice and the most recent updates from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). This symposium, moderated by Michelle M. Zembo, MD, will be presented today, 1:30 – 3:30 p.m. in Room 2005 (Moscone West).
