Former U.S. Rep. Nancy Johnson to speak today
Former U.S. Rep. Nancy Johnson, R-Conn., who once chaired the House Ways and Means Health Subcommittee, will address the members of the Political Action Committee (PAC) of the American Association of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS) during its annual PAC members-only luncheon today.
Rep. Johnson will explore the important role that grassroots advocacy plays in the legislative process. She will also provide an insider’s perspective on how the second session of the 110th Congress may address healthcare-related issues in legislation.
The PAC luncheon begins at noon in Salons 3-6 of the San Francisco Marriott. The luncheon is held each year to thank PAC members for their contributions and provide them with an opportunity to interact with colleagues.
