ORS honors outstanding research
At the annual meeting of the Orthopaedic Research Society (ORS) yesterday, the following individuals were honored for making significant contributions to the advancement of orthopaedic research and furthering the understanding of the musculoskeletal system and musculoskeletal diseases and injuries.
The William Harris, MD, Award was presented to Nadim J. Hallab, PhD, of Chicago.

The ORS Women’s Leadership Forum Award was presented to Jo A. Hannafin, MD, PhD, by Adele Broskey, PhD. |
The Marshall R. Urist, MD, Award was presented to Christopher H. Evans, PhD, of Boston.
The ORS/American Orthopaedic Association Alfred R. Shands Jr., MD, Award and Lecture was presented to Randy N. Rosier, MD, PhD of Rochester, N.Y.
The ORS/Orthopaedic Research and Education Foundation Distinguished Investigator Award was presented to Carl T. Brighton, MD, of Malvern, Pa.
The ORS Women’s Leadership Forum Award was presented to Jo A. Hannafin, MD, PhD, of New York.
The ORS Career Development Fellowship Award was presented to Hue H. Luu, MD, of Chicago.
