OREF welcomes new board members

During its meeting yesterday, the Board of Trustees of the Orthopaedic Research and Education Foundation (OREF) approved nominations for the 2009-2010 board members and officers.
Joining the Board in 2009 are Daryll C. Dykes, MD, PhD; James D. Heckman, MD; Shepard R. Hurwitz, MD; and David G. Lewallen, MD.
Mr. H. Michael Immel will take over as treasurer while continuing to serve as vice chair, national board. James D. Heckman, MD, will serve as vice chair, research grants, succeeding Thomas A. Einhorn, MD, who will remain a trustee. Ramon L. Jimenez, MD will serve as vice chair, development, succeeding Jo A. Hannafin, MD, PhD., who takes on a new role on OREF’s Educational Grants Committee while continuing as a trustee.
Other OREF officers for 2009-2010 are: William P. Cooney III, MD, chair; S. Terry Canale, MD, chair-elect and vice chair, corporate relations; Regis J. O’Keefe MD, secretary; and Charles A. Rockwood, MD, immediate past chair.
