Claiming CME credit is on the honor system. In 2010, the AAOS will be enforcing the number of credits that can be claimed on your transcript based on the day when you check into the meeting or the day you register.
The AAOS designates the Annual Meeting for a maximum of 27 AMA PRA Category 1 credits (excluding Specialty Day, Saturday, February 28, 2009). Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation at the meeting.
If you advanced registered for the meeting, be sure to turn in your “Check In” ticket the day you arrive to be eligible for maximum CME credit.
