USBJI Offers Free Public Education Programs

Bring home the message of musculoskeletal health with two free public education programs available from the U.S. Bone and Joint Initiative (USBJI).

Fit to a T provides information about bone health, as well as the prevention, early detection, diagnosis, and treatment of osteoporosis. Experts in Arthritis provides information about treatment and care of osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, and juvenile arthritis. Both programs come with a prepared slide presentation, guidelines, and handout materials.

A program session is typically structured to last 60 minutes, which includes the presentation and a question/answer period. More than 480 sessions have been held nationwide to date.

The best part is that the USBJI has done most of the work for you. Here’s what you get when you sign up to do a program:

  • guidelines on organizing a session
  • slide presentation and program materials
  • artwork for flyers and posters
  • hand-out materials for participants
  • evaluation forms for participants

In addition, the USBJI will help make arrangements for the presenter(s). To speak to a USBJI representative about these programs and to pick up a brochure, visit Booth #405A in the Hall A. A representative will be available Wednesday through Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

You can also email orgusbji@usbji.org, visit www.usbji.org, or call 847-430-5054.
