OREF Hosts Leadership Breakfast
Sharon K. Mellor, PhD, CAE
This morning, the Orthopaedic Research & Education Foundation (OREF) hosted its annual Leadership Breakfast, drawing more than 150 like-minded individuals for a morning of networking and fellowship.
The breakfast was an opportunity for OREF to recognize longtime supporters and also provided a relaxed forum for grant recipients, educators, corporate partners, association leadership, and advocates for orthopaedic research to discuss pressing issues.
Kristy L. Weber, MD, professor and chief for the Division of Orthopaedic Oncology at Johns Hopkins, was among those who attended. “At this time of uncertain federal and industry funding, OREF plays a vital role in the orthopaedic scientific community,” she said. “Its importance will only increase in the future with so many unanswered clinical questions in our field.”
Interested in participating in the conversation? Stop by the OREF booth in Academy Hall B of McCormick Place’s North Building or visit www.oref.org.
Sharon K. Mellor, PhD, CAE, is the OREF CEO.
