Don’t Miss the Technical Exhibits

Among the technical exhibits at the AAOS 2013 Annual Meeting, you’ll find products and services designed specifically to meet all your needs—from anatomic models and casting supplies to surgical equipment and tissue products. Exhibits will be on display from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., today and Thursday, and from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Friday, in McCormick Place, Hall A.

More than 600 exhibitors are featured, including more than 200 first-time exhibitors. Four specialty areas are designated: diagnostic equipment, practice productivity, new exhibitors, and publishers and educators. Each day, from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m., you’ll have the opportunity to visit the technical exhibits without worrying about missing an educational session.

Put your badge to work
There’s no need to tote a bulging bag or cram vendor handouts into your suitcase when you leave Chicago. Simply present your badge to exhibitors for scanning and they will mail materials directly to you after the meeting. This enables you to spend more time in face-to-face discussions with vendors.

Ask an Expert
Booth 465 is home to a unique interactive learning activity—Ask an Expert. Bring your HIPAA-compliant case challenges on a flash drive and present them for diagnosis and recommendation. The schedule of sessions appears on page 27 of each day’s The Daily Edition.

Learn a skill
Stop at Booth 5236, the AAOS Electronic Skills Pavilion, to hear your colleagues discuss a range of current technology products and applications developed for orthopaedic surgeons. From electronic medical records to orthopaedic apps, voice recognition systems to social networking, you’re sure to learn something new. Look for the schedule of sessions on page 27 of each day’s The Daily Edition.

Enjoy lunch
Stop at the AAOS Bistro, conveniently located within the exhibit hall, Booth 3878. It’s the best place to eat, meet, and network! Assorted menu options include several fresh and healthy choices, international cuisine, and regional favorites. The all-inclusive lunch buffet is just $22 for an entree, beverages, and dessert (tax included). Avoid long lines by purchasing your lunch tickets online in advance or at the AAOS Bistro counter located in Academy Hall B. Have fun!
Make good use of your time visiting exhibitors by stopping first at an Exhibitor Directory kiosk in the lobby. There, you can view a listing of all exhibitors, their contact and product information, and create and print your personal “My Expo Plan.”

Don’t be afraid to get “sidetracked” as you make your way through the exhibit halls. With more than 600 vendor booths, the exhibits area is the perfect place for you to learn about new products, services, and job opportunities. Be sure to visit one of the AAOS Redemption Centers to redeem the coupons included in your onsite program packet. Or enjoy a complimentary beverage each afternoon and on Friday morning.

Expand your education and increase your familiarity with technologies, business systems, and services that can make your practice more productive and profitable. Don’t miss the Technical Exhibits.
