Video Is at Its Best at Orthopaedic Video Theater

Take a break from the bustle of the Annual Meeting and enjoy the best in orthopaedic video and media programming developed and produced by your colleagues. The Orthopaedic Video Theater (formerly known as the Multimedia Education Center), located in Academy Hall B, at McCormick Place, gives you a front-row seat for observing the very latest in orthopaedic surgical techniques, leading-edge devices, and new technologies.

Open through Friday from
7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., the Orthopaedic Video Theater has an outstanding line-up of award-winning, peer-reviewed programs in a wide range of orthopaedic specialties. Strengthen your knowledge of surgical anatomy, exposures, treatments, and more.

The 10 award-winning programs were selected by the Multimedia Education Center Committee, based on their high production values, technical quality, educational merit and clinical relevance. Four award-winning videos will be shown Tuesday and Wednesday; four others will be shown Thursday and Friday. Two award winning three-dimensional (3-D) programs will be shown daily.

For increased educational opportunities, this year’s Orthopaedic Video Theater has up to 31 viewing stations. In addition, five self-service stations are available for viewing any of the more than 250 Orthopaedic Video Theater titles online.

“We are deeply indebted to our program authors,” said Keven D. Plancher, MD, chair of the AAOS Multimedia Education Center Committee. “Without their voluntary contributions of know-how, time, and talent, the Orthopaedic Video Theaer would not be possible.”

The following programs will be shown today and Wednesday, including four award-winning videos (stations 1–4); a second set, including four different award-winning videos and two award-winning 3-D programs, will be shown Thursday through Saturday and listed in the Thursday Daily Edition AAOS Now. If you have the time, you can view different approaches to the same problem, learn how different surgeons perform the same procedure or get an overview of several aspects of the same condition.
