ORS seeks abstracts
The Orthopaedic Research Society (ORS) is seeking abstracts for its 54th Annual Meeting in San Francisco, March 2-5, 2008. Online submission is currently open and will close on Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2007, at 5:00 p.m. (Central time).

Because the ORS is using a new, online abstract submission system, authors are requested to apply early and allow enough time to become familiar with its features and requirements. The new online system enables authors to create a draft submission and then return to make multiple revisions before submitting the final abstract. Authors will even be able to “recall-to-draft” a final submission for further editing at any time, up to the close date. For more information and to enter the abstract submission system, visit the ORS Web site, www.ors.org.

Apply now for ORS grants
The Special Projects Committee (SPC) of the Orthopaedic Research Society (ORS) will be accepting grant applications for educational grants until Sept. 1. Grants are available for up to $5,000 for meetings that are pertinent to all, or a significant portion of, the ORS membership. Educational programs need to fulfill the ORS requirements with respect to educational and research goals. The SPC will carefully review all applications and submit them to the ORS board of directors for final approval.

To learn more about the selection process and criteria, visit the ORS Web site (www.ors.org) and click on the ORS Educational Grants section.
