AAOS and AAOE Special Open Door Forum

Presenter Bio: Barbara Sack, MHSA, CMPE

Barbara Sack is the Executive Director for Midwest Orthopaedics, P.A. in suburban Kansas City.  She has been an administrator for 17 years, having worked in a hospital-owned practice, an academic medical center    program, and her current position in a private practice.

Barbara has a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and a Master’s in Health Services Administration, as well as being a Certified Medical Practice Executive with the American College of Medical Practice Executives.  She is a member of MGMA and is current President of Midwest AAOE.  She serves on Boards of Directors for AAOE (formerly BONES Society) and the Greater Kansas City Medical Manager’s Association. She has spoken at annual BONES conferences and at the AAOS Practice Management Symposium.

Barbara was one of 20 orthopedic administrators participating in MGMA’s “Optimal Orthopedic Practices” study done in 2007.  Her practice has also been recognized as a “Better Performer” by MGMA in the areas of Human Resources, Accounts Receivable and Profitability.
