Register now for ACPOC annual meeting
Registration is now open for the 2010 Annual Meeting of the Association of Children’s Prosthetic-Orthotic Clinics (ACPOC), being held in combination with the Orthopaedic Rehabilitation Association (ORA), at the Sheraton Sand Key Resort, Clearwater, Fla., June 2–5. The local hosts will be Janet Marshall, CPO; Sandra Smith, PT; and the Shriners Hospital, Tampa, Fla.

As the Hector Kay Lecturer, Kenneth J. Guidera, MD, chief of staff, Shriners Hospital Twin Cities, Minneapolis, will present “An Update of New Trends in the Field of Pediatric Orthopaedics.” The Presidential Guest Speaker will be René Baumgartner, MD, emeritus professor of orthopaedic surgery, department of prosthetics, orthotics & related surgery, University of Münster, Germany, presenting: “Amputation, Prosthetics & Rehabilitation in Children.” The meeting will also include the Physician-Guided Case Study Forum; the New Investigator Research Award, presented by Otto Bock; and the Vernon Nichols Award & Presentation, provided by the ORA.
