Apply now for the 2011 CSD Program

March 31 is the last day to submit applications for participation in the 2011 Clinician Scholar Development Program (CSDP). The program is a joint project of the AAOS, the Orthopaedic Research and Education Foundation (OREF), and the Orthopaedic Research Society (ORS).

CSDP seeks applicants in their PGY2, PGY3, PGY4, PGY5 residency years, fellows, and junior faculty through year three who have the potential and desire to become orthopaedic clinician scientists. Up to 15 applicants are selected to participate in the 1.5-day CSDP training workshop; up to 10 additional participants are sponsored by orthopaedic specialty societies.

Connecting with mentors and establishing a collaborative relationship is one of the greatest benefits of program participation. The CSDP continues to develop a cadre of orthopaedic clinician scholars who will lead research efforts and develop new methodologies to treat orthopaedic related illnesses and injuries and advance musculoskeletal medicine. Promoting unity among orthopaedic specialties, the CSDP is a first step in the clinician scholar career path.
