OREF Names New Vice President of Grants

The Orthopaedic Research and Education Foundation (OREF) has named Kenya D. McRae, JD, PhD, as Vice President of Grants.

“We are pleased to welcome Kenya McRae to OREF,” said CEO Sharon K. Mellor, PhD, CAE. “Because she has experience participating in research projects as well as managing application and review processes at grant-making organizations such as the National Institutes of Health, Dr. McRae will be an instrumental part of our team as we move forward with OREF’s new research agenda.”

The new research agenda is being crafted after a comprehensive planning process directed by the OREF Board of Trustees. It will enable the foundation to be more strategic in its grant making and, therefore, to be better able to elevate the practice of orthopaedic medicine and improve patient care.
