Groundbreaking Orthopaedics

AAOS and its four equity partners—the Arthroscopy Association of North America, the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine, the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons, and the Orthopaedic Learning Center (OLC)—have broken ground on a new headquarters building, expected to house more than 25 specialty orthopaedic organizations and a state-of-the art OLC.

The new, 180,000-square-foot, all-orthopaedic building will be located to the south of the current Academy headquarters and is expected to open in early 2015

“This move demonstrates the unity of the specialty of orthopaedics and a specialty-wide commitment to education. In the new building, state-of-the-art learning space will allow for growth, flexibility and distance learning, expanding our capacity to serve our members,” said Joshua J. Jacobs, MD, AAOS president.
