Building Orthopaedics Comes to a Successful Conclusion

Building Orthopaedics: The Foundation for Our Future Capital Campaign has been the shared vision of the AAOS, Arthroscopy Association of North America (AANA), American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine (AOSSM), and the Orthopaedic Learning Center (OLC) to build a new orthopaedic headquarters. This facility is now the home of an expanded state-of-the art OLC and the staff and operations for 25 orthopaedic organizations.

The initial planning for the Building Orthopaedics Capital Campaign began in June 2013. The campaign was launched to the public at the AAOS Annual Meeting in March 2014. A Steering Committee, chaired by Joseph D. Zuckerman, MD, with Howard J. Sweeney, MD serving as the Honorary Chair, worked to identify and solicit prospective donors. As of the campaign’s conclusion on April 15, 2015, 390 individuals, corporations, clinics, and hospitals supported this successful fundraising effort.
