ABJS/ORS Richard A. Brand Award
The Association of Bone and Joint Surgeons (ABJS) and the Orthopaedic Research Society (ORS) jointly sponsor the Clinical Orthopaedics and Related Research (CORR)® ORS Richard A. Brand Award for Outstanding Orthopaedic Research. The $25,000 award will be given to an individual based on the quality and scientific merit of an original paper focused on a topic of clinical musculoskeletal relevance. The winning paper must be presented at the 2018 ORS annual meeting, March 10–13, 2018, in New Orleans. 2019 AOA–ABC
Traveling Fellowship
The American Orthopaedic Association (AOA) is accepting applications for the 2019 American-British-Canadian (ABC) traveling fellowship. Selected fellows will tour orthopaedic centers throughout the United Kingdom, Australia, and New Zealand. The application deadline is Jan. 31, 2018. 2018 AOFAS Traveling
Fellowship Program
The American Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle Society (AOFAS) Traveling Fellowship Program is a special opportunity for early-career surgeons to attend the AOFAS annual meeting and visit leading institutions in foot and ankle education and research. The program is open to AOFAS active, candidate, and international members age 45 or younger at the time of application. The application deadline is Dec. 1, 2017. The application deadline for the American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons (ASES) 2018 Research Grant Award is Feb. 8, 2018. The $20,000 grant is for basic or clinical investigations.

The Hip Society seeks papers
for 2018 scientific awards
The Otto Aufranc Award and the John Charnley Award recognize innovative research, either clinical or basic, encompassing important advances in the management of hip disorders. The Frank Stinchfield Award is given to a resident or fellow in training who submits an outstanding contribution concerning hip problems. The presenting author of each winning award paper will receive a $2,000 honorarium; winning papers will be presented during The Hip Society/American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons (AAHKS) 2018 Open (Winter) Meeting, March 10, 2018, in New Orleans. The Hip Society-British
Traveling Fellowship
The 2018 Hip Society-British Traveling Fellowship is open to two North American board-certified orthopaedic surgeons. Successful candidates will travel throughout the United Kingdom for 3 to 4 weeks and will be hosted by experts in adult hip reconstruction. The application deadline is Jan. 1, 2018. The Knee Society 2018 John N. Insall Traveling Fellowship
The Knee Society is accepting applications for the 2018 John N. Insall Traveling Fellowship. Qualified candidates must have completed either an adult reconstruction knee fellowship or a sports medicine fellowship and must be able to travel during the month of October 2018. Applications are due Oct. 1, 2017.

OREF investigator-initiated grants
The Orthopaedic Research and Education Foundation (OREF) is accepting applications for investigator-initiated grants addressing issues in the field of orthopaedics.
