This educational video presents a surgical technique for placement of an intramedullary tibial nail for a tibia shaft fracture through a step-by-step approach. The video was recorded through a Go-Pro Hero 3+ (San Mateo, CA) mounted on a PivotHead Durango (Denver, CO). The video shows a surgeon perspective of each important surgical step with emphasis on identification of anatomical landmarks and technique pearls. Radiographic imaging studies highlight the injury pattern prior to fixation, intraoperative fluoroscopy utilization, final construct, and post-operative follow up (4 months).
