Ulnar wrist pain can occur on the backhand stroke on the non-dominate wrist with excessive ulnar deviation prior to and at the point of contact. This may cause problems to the ulnar carpal joint, including the triangular fibrocartilage complex and extensor carpi ulnaris tendons.
