Proximal Humerus Fracture Fixation Using an Intramedullary Nail Designed to Capture the Tuberosities

Locked plate and screw fixation are common yet invasive techniques for open reduction and internal fixation of proximal humeral fractures. Proximal humeral intramedullary nailing is a less invasive surgical treatment option, providing maintenance of the vasculature of the fracture fragments, angular stability of proximal fixation, and optimal screw orientation for fixation of the tuberosities.
