OITE registration
Any orthopaedic surgeon interested in taking the 2007 Orthopaedic In-Training Examination (OITE) should register by Oct. 15, 2007. The 2007 OITE can help fulfill the continuing medical education (CME) requirements mandated by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery (ABOS) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) process but cannot be applied to the “scored and recorded” self-assessment examination requirement mandated by the ABOS MOC Process. Orthopaedic surgeons who participate in the central scoring are eligible for a maximum of 15 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™.
Information on the OITE was mailed to AAOS members in June. To order by credit card, call (800) 346-2267, ext. 4107 or contact the AAOS Evaluation Department, 6300 N. River Rd, Rosemont, IL 60018-4262.
