How is your Academy doing when it comes to meeting your needs? How satisfied are you with Academy products and services? What is the AAOS doing well? Where can we improve?
You’ll have the opportunity to judge the current member services and products and to express your ideas for the future later this month when you receive the 2007 Member’s Needs Assessment survey. It’s been three years since the AAOS last took the “pulse” of the membership, and it’s time to see how things have changed. Your responses will help ensure that the Academy has the vital information needed to plan for the coming years.
“This is such an important project for the AAOS, giving members a voice in shaping the programs and services offered by the Academy,” stresses E. Anthony Rankin, MD, first vice-president. “We want to ensure we are responsive to your changing needs, but we cannot do this without hearing from you! Please take the time to tell us your thoughts by responding to the 2007 Member Needs Assessment.”
How can you help?
The 2007 Member Needs Assessment will be mailed or faxed to a sampling of fellows during April. Watch for it and, if you receive a copy, please take the time to complete the questionnaire and return it to AAOS. Although the questionnaire is quite comprehensive and covers the many services and programs of the Academy, it should not take longer than 20 minutes to complete. Your responses will help the Academy plan new products and services to better meet your needs.
