Balloting for the AAOS proposed resolutions, bylaws amendments, and Standards of Professionalism (SOPs) is underway. Documents have been e-mailed, faxed, or mailed to all fellows eligible to vote, and you have until April 24, 2008, to respond.

You can cast your ballot online, fax your ballot to (847) 574-7493, or mail your ballot to the AAOS Research Department, Attn: Balloting, 6300 N. River Road, Rosemont, IL 60018. The on-line ballot, recommendations, and reports of the AAOS Resolutions and Bylaws Committees and actual language of the documents being voted on are available at: http://research.aaos.org/Bylaws08

To be counted, ballots must be received by April 24, 2008. Adoption of any resolutions, bylaws amendments, or SOPs revisions requires that at least 20 percent of eligible fellows must vote. For resolutions, at least 50 percent of those voting must favor adoption; for bylaws amendments and SOPs revisions, at least two-thirds of those voting must favor adoption.
