
John K. Drake, MD, retiring as Communications Cabinet Liaison to the Council on Advocacy and member of the AAOS Now editorial board. In nominating Dr. Drake for “A Pat on the Back,” Communications Cabinet Chair Frank B. Kelly, MD, wrote, “He has served the AAOS so very admirably for the past decade: as Councilor from Mississippi for 6 years, as a state society officer, as Chair of the BOC State Orthopaedic Societies Committee, and most recently as our Cabinet Liaison to the Council on Advocacy and as a member of the AAOS Now Editorial Board. In each position he has held in the AAOS, he has always performed at the very highest level and has always gone the extra mile.”
William B. Macaulay, MD, research chair for the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons, was recently appointed to the Anne Youle Stein Professorship of Orthopaedic Surgery. Dr. Macaulay is professor of clinical orthopaedic surgery at Columbia University in New York City.
