AAOS selects new travel management company

CorpTrav offers members a range of services

If you’re traveling to an Academy-sponsored meeting or course, the AAOS meetings team has some good news for you. Based on an evaluation of current travel management services, the AAOS has selected CorpTrav Management Group as its new travel management provider. AAOS selected CorpTrav for its proven record of quality service, its dedicated agent teams, and its full-service, on-line booking technology.

The AAOS partnership with CorpTrav offers you full travel management services, 24/7 throughout the year. CorpTrav’s service center is staffed by its agents at all times. AAOS members can take advantage of a dedicated toll-free number that connects directly with an AAOS service team representative. In addition, CorpTrav offers discount programs, access to all airlines vendors, and the lowest available air fares. Its powerful airline flight search is powered by the same search engine that supports popular public discount booking agents, including Travelocity and Priceline.com

The Academy’s previous travel manager, Experient, has agreed to continue providing assistance for any current travel booked through them until December 31, 2008.

Attending the 2009 Annual Meeting?
If you plan on attending the AAOS Annual Meeting in Las Vegas, AAOS and CorpTrav offer you several ways to save. Special meeting discounts are available through United Airlines; call (800)521-4041, and mention code 549K. Or you can book through CorpTrav either online or by phone to receive the same discount.

For online booking, there is a $15 service fee; tickets booked by phone will be assessed either a $32 service fee (domestic travel) or a $42 fee (international travel). This service fee also includes travel assistance with a travel agent—any time, any day, anywhere—and $200,000 in flight insurance coverage.
