Module 1, “Surviving Health Care Changes: Leaders Taking Strategic Action,” will be held Nov. 15–16, 2013. During this module, attendees will learn the frameworks and methods to improve their strategy decision making and give them the confidence to predict future performance to maximize growth.

Session objectives include the following:

  • What is the great payoff from innovation?
  • What is management’s key role in strategy?
  • How do leaders formulate new strategy?
  • How can you become a better observer for critical and predictive data?
  • What are the powerful patterns happening in the environment?

Module 2, “Power, Influence, and Persuasion,” will be held Feb. 7–8, 2014. Attendees will learn how to identify their key challenges, develop and retain initial bases of power, and nurture relationships that will help secure support for future agendas.

Open to AOA members and nonmembers, the 2-day courses will be taught by University of Chicago Booth School of Business faculty.
