At the AAOS Annual Meeting, learning extends well beyond the educational sessions. The Technical Exhibits, for example, offer an unparalleled opportunity to view and compare the latest in orthopaedic products and services.
“The Technical Exhibits provide attendees with a single destination—and multiple opportunities—to complement the educational activities of the AAOS Annual Meeting,” said Joseph T. Moskal, MD, FACS, Technical Exhibits chair.
“There is so much to do in the exhibit halls: see, touch, and compare products; attend demonstrations; and ask questions of representatives from more than 650 national and international companies,” he continued.
At this year’s meeting in Las Vegas, exhibits will be on display from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Wednesday and Thursday, and from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Friday, in Venetian/Sands EXPO, Halls A-D. One hour of unopposed exhibit time will be provided each day from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m., enabling attendees to tour the exhibit floor without missing an educational session.
Included among the more than 650 exhibitors are companies specializing in implants, bone and tissue products, computer software, surgical equipment and instruments, and practice management. These products are designed to meet the specific needs of orthopaedic surgeons from resident to experienced practitioner.
“This is the largest gathering of orthopaedic product and service companies in the world; attendees can explore and compare thousands of innovative devices, software, applications, and business tools to assist them in providing a higher level of care to their patients and managing their practices more effectively,” Dr. Moskal said.
He added, “Exhibitors at the AAOS Annual Meeting make a considerable investment to meet with attendees. In return, attendee participation helps support the incomparable array of educational opportunities available at the meeting.”
The following is a sampling of the free non-CME educational opportunities and other activities sponsored by the AAOS that will be available in the exhibit halls.
