Data Collection for the 2016 AAOS Orthopaedic Surgeon Census Has Been Extended

The Academy is asking all members to take part in the AAOS 2016 census of orthopaedic surgeons. The census is taken to ensure AAOS members are accurately represented in advocacy, funding, and reimbursement efforts. The information also helps AAOS tailor programs, products, and services to address professional needs and interests of its members. All individual responses are kept confidential.

AAOS will be sending reminders to those who have not answered yet. Check your mailbox, email inbox, or fax inbox for your questionnaire. The Academy is aiming for a 100 percent response rate.

Prizes to top-responding states
This year, AAOS is holding a "state vs. state response rate" contest, with prizes awarded to the states with the highest per capita level of participation. The top three states will receive a customized Census 2016 report specific to their state. Visit the AAOS online for more information about the contest at www.aaos.org/censuscontest

Note: The webpage listed above does not have a link to the Census 2016 questionnaire. You should have received your Census 2016 questionnaire via U.S. mail, email, or fax invitation. The Academy distributes the census questionnaires in this manner to ensure that data gathered are from AAOS members only.

Please email the AAOS Research Department at aaosresearch@aaos.org with any questions about the census.
