AAOS Publishing Digital Newsletters Based on JAAOS

The AAOS is now publishing a series of digital newsletters delivered via email, with each newsletter focusing on Journal of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (JAAOS) articles related to a single specialty. Three or four articles are selected from past issues of JAAOS; titles, author names, and the abstracts of the articles are provided, along with links to the full text of the articles on the JAAOS website.

Digital newsletters containing JAAOS content focused on various subspecialty areas—such as spine care, as shown here—are now available from the AAOS at no charge to members.

The newsletters are sent at no charge to AAOS members based on self-selected interest areas. Should a member not wish to receive a newsletter, there is a simple one-click opt-out function.

The newsletter is expected to focus on the following areas: hand and wrist, trauma, shoulder and elbow, adult spine, foot and ankle, hip and knee, arthroscopy and sports medicine, pediatric orthopaedics and pediatric spine, and total joints. To date, the newsletters have focused on hand and wrist, spine, and foot and ankle.
