
The Academy recently welcomed Anna Salt Troise as the new chief education strategist.
As a member of the AAOS executive team, Ms. Troise will direct all the Academy's education and peer-reviewed publishing activities, as well as its newly implemented strategy.
"Anna is a proven business leader, manager, and innovative thinker with extensive experience in business and knowledge of the orthopaedic space," said AAOS CEO Thomas Arend Jr., Esq., CAE.
"Her expertise and insight will ensure the Academy continues to provide high-value educational programs and services to meet the needs of our orthopaedic members," he added.
Ms. Troise most recently served as vice president, medical and open access publishing at Wolters Kluwer where she managed the U.S., U.K., and European medical journal publishing program. She also oversaw the business activities for more than 150 proprietary and society medical journals as well as the editorial and business strategies for various medical societies.
Prior to joining Wolters Kluwer, Ms. Troise held executive positions at Nature Publishing Group and John Wiley & Sons and has served as keynote speaker and panelist at various conferences within the publishing industry to discuss the trends and future of medical and academic publishing.
