Limb Lengthening Specialty Day at the AAOS 2022 Annual Meeting

Mitchell Bernstein, MD, FAAOS, and David Frumberg, MD, chairs of the Limb Lengthening and Reconstruction Society: ASAMI-North America (LLRS) Specialty Day, are excited to announce the 2022 agenda.

The morning session will include faceoff discussions with expert panelists regarding key controversies in management, including infantile Blount disease; medial compartment osteoarthritis (OA) in young adults, reconstruction of tibial bone loss, ankle OA (salvage options), and limb lengthening in achondroplasia. The afternoon will highlight limb-realignment techniques in patellofemoral dysfunction.

Speakers will include guest lecturers John Fulkerson, MD, and Miho Tanaka, MD, FAAOS. Invited surgeon Jörg Harrer, MD, of Germany will give his insights into management algorithms for patellar instability. Topics will include torsional osteotomies, medial patellofemoral ligament reconstruction, and trochleoplasty.
