TT11: Developing a Calculator Using Google Sheets with Historic Capitation Data to Predict Orthopedic Care Utilization

This session presents findings on orthopaedic care utilization and cost savings measured via a healthcare calculator developed using historic capitation data. The calculator, developed with Google Sheets, can be applied to various populations of patients to help guide and develop more efficient delivery systems. Using historic, validated published capitation data, the calculator demonstrated the effectiveness of telehealth to deliver musculoskeletal care that is appropriate and effective and saves money. Using the calculator will allow physicians to be able to finally demonstrate value-based care through a telehealth-centric model that is applicable to multiple populations of patients.
