OrthoDome Offers Visually Stunning Video Education

The AAOS Annual Meeting is renowned as the must-attend meeting to experience the latest innovations in musculoskeletal health. Year after year, the meeting brings together members of the orthopaedic clinical community and representatives from companies leading the way in innovative orthopaedic surgical devices and therapeutics, all with the shared purpose of advancing the field and improving patient care.

About OrthoDome®
The new and highly innovative AAOS Annual Meeting surgical video education format, OrthoDome, is consistent with this legacy for showcasing the most cutting-edge innovations. AAOS is excited to bring back OrthoDome in 2024 with a 3-day program.

OrthoDome is a theater with an impressively large screen showcasing videos of orthopaedic surgical techniques and devices in 4K resolution. Sessions will take place Feb. 13 to 15 with video presentations focused on spine, foot and ankle, shoulder and elbow, hand and wrist, total joints, sports medicine, trauma, and pediatrics. Presenters will provide live narration as they show their high-resolution surgical videos, meaning you can learn directly from the experts performing the cases as you watch them unfold on screen.

“I am most excited this year about OrthoDome and that we have expanded it to all subspecialties. It’s going to be awesome,” said Lisa K. Cannada, MD, FAAOS, FACS, OrthoDome co-chair. “OrthoDome is the future of education. It feels like you’re doing the surgery yourself. The videos are incredibly high-def, and it feels like you’re part of it. Not only can you see it, but you can actually experience it.”

The OrthoDome space “is a wonderful environment,” said Ronald A. Navarro, MD, FAAOS, OrthoDome co-chair. “We’ve really tried to create a cool vibe, and the video quality is amazing. Attendees can come and see the procedures and hear the author of the video, who’s [presenting] at the front, and ask questions right in the moment.”
